Arsenal Injury News

As he always does before every game, Arsene Wenger has revealed the latest team news to let fans know who to expect back from injury, players to feature etc.

The manager said that all players who were involved in the 3-0 trashing of Hull City last Sunday have no fitness problems and as such should be expected to play against Newcastle. Captain Thomas Vermaelen after a short absence has a 90% chance of returning for this encounter while Kieran Gibbs, Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott are still sidelined. Jack is recovering well and is expected to play one or two games before the season finishes.

Yesterday was another black day in the footballing world after last week's incident which saw Westham lose one of its players who died as a result of testicular cancer. Former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova was pronounced dead some hours ago after a brave struggle with throat cancer. He kicked the bucket at the age of 45. What a grievous loss!!! May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
