Arsenal to Host Super Friendly Match in March.

The Emirates Stadium which belongs to Arsenal Football Club of London has been picked as the ground to host a very big friendly match.

An international friendly which is between Brazil and Chile will be played at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday March 29, 2015, with its kick-off time being 3pm.

The clash is surely going to be an exciting one as it involves two South American giants. The last time Brazil and Chile met was in a game which ended in a draw at the Brazil World Cup last year. It was so tense that even after extra-time, there was still no winner and this led to a penalty shootout that ended 3-2 in favour of Brazil.

March's encounter between these two sides is a preparation for Copa America which comes up in Chile this summer. We will see two of Europe's great stars, Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal and Neymar of Barcelona face each other.

This will be the seventh time Brazil will play at the Emirates Stadium. Previous ones include the successful staging of Brazil v Scotland in March 2011, Brazil v Republic of Ireland in March 2010, Brazil v Italy in February 2009, Brazil v Sweden in March 2008, Brazil v Portugal in February 2007 and Brazil v Argentina shortly after the Emirates Stadium was opened in September 2006.

Speaking on the news, Arsenal chief executive officer Ivan Gazidis told the official website: “Everyone at Arsenal Football Club is proud to once again be hosting a high-profile international match at Emirates Stadium. The national teams of Brazil and Chile have many fantastic players and the match will give football fans the opportunity to watch an international friendly of the highest calibre.

“It’s a compliment to both Arsenal Football Club and Emirates Stadium that we will once again be hosting a fixture of this magnitude. We are all looking forward to what is sure to be a fantastic occasion.”
