Arsenal are in pole position to secure the services of Benfica attacker Goncalo Guedes, latest reports suggest.

Reports emerging from the media claim that club president Luis Filipe Vieira and his agent Jorge Mendes are currently in London for negotiation.

The move is said to have become necessary since there are chances that the Gunners will lose Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Manchester city in the summer.

With Vieira having cancelled his press conference to make this trip, one could deduce that the two parties are seriously in business and we expect something positive to emanate in the coming days.

Also on the look out for the player are Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain, Monaco.

There could be a twist in this news though since the fact that talks are holding in London does not necessarily mean that the star is heading to England.

We will see how all goes for the €60m-rated man.
