France were quite unfortunate as they lost 2-0 to Ukraine in the first leg. Didier Deschamps' boys are now in a position where they have to come together to fight a battle which would see them earn a ticket to the world's most recognised tournament.
Second half goals from Roman Zozulya and Andrly Yarmolenko were what made the hosts the favourites to clinch a spot for Brazil 2014.
A dynamic U-turn is what the Arsenal striker and the rest of his teammates are looking forward to as they are aware their absence from the tournament would be a disaster to them.
"Even if it seems too strong of a statement, I can say we are all ready to die on the pitch", the Arsenal striker said in an interview with Le Parisien.
"We want to show ourselves and French people we deserve to get to World Cup. I can't imagine it without us, and we'll need more focusing than usual".
Ukraine have not lost a single game in their last twelve outings so we should expect France to go through a tough task if they are to overturn the scoreline. This is football and that is why it would be wrong to conclude the Les Bleus won't be able to make it as some are already saying.
I want France to make it to the World Cup because we got some French players like Koscielny, Sagna, Diaby and Giroud at Arsenal. Their morale will be affected if they fail to.
