Arsenal Re-Ignite Title Hopes.

Arsenal re-ignited their title hopes with a 1-0 win at Tottenham on Sunday. Tomas Rosicky's 72nd second goal ensured we got the maximum points from the derby. Yesterday was our third win in three games against our bitter rivals this season; the first being a 1-0 victory in the first half of the season while the second came in the FA Cup in which we won 2-0.

Rosicky Scores Against Tottenham

I was not chanced to watch the game but was opportuned to connect via a live audio commentary from which I can say I was impressed by the efforts put in by our players especially the central defenders. As soon as we got our early goal we were put under a lot of pressure by the hosts and I was so scared they might just grab an equaliser. We showed determination plus maturity by holding tight till the end of that much needed encounter. Our boys should had been 2 goals up at a point in the first half if not for the Ox's miscalculation. Many other chances were missed but they mattered less as we still won.

We were given a weekend gift by Aston Villa on Saturday evening. They defeated Chelsea 1-0 making our win draw us so close to the Blues. Arsenal are now four points behind Mourinho's men with a game in hand. Two of their players; Willian and Ramires got sent off followed by their manager too. The Portuguese was sent to the stands after protesting Ramires' red card which resulted from the Brazillian's double-legged challenge on an opponent.

March 22 is our next game and that will be at Stamford Bridge. Though Manchester City still got 3 outstanding matches, a win against Chelsea might eventually put smiles on our faces by the time the season comes to an end. It will be Arsene Wenger's 1000th game in charge as Arsenal manager. Hope we triumph.
