Arsenal have signed top scout, Ian Broomfield from Queen Park Rangers. He is now to work with the Gunners' chief scout, Steve Rowley.
This is a big blow to Harry Redknapp who has been in a long-term patnership with Broomfield. The duo were together at both Portsmouth and Tottenham before meeting again at QPR. He was the brain behind the Lilywhites' acquisition of Jan Vertonghen and Hugo Lloris.
Broomfield got employed by the Loftus outfit in January last year. He has also worked with David O’Leary (an ex-Arsenal defender) at Aston Villa and Leeds United.
Is this a sign we are going to be very active in the summer transfer windows?
