Barcelona Ready to Part With Fabregas and Pedro to Get Ozil.

Rumours of Barcelona's interest in Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is getting tense in the media. It was first broadcast on La Porteria and now another Spanish TV station, Punto Pelota has joined in the dissemination of this news. These sources revealed the Catalans will let Cesc Fabregas and Pedro join the Gunners if that is what will make their Ozil pursuit successful.

During a sport programme, El Chiringuito de Nitro, Francois Gallard, a football agent who is popularly associated with many failed transfer deals said the German star could sign for Barcelona in the coming summer.

“Ozil could sign for Barcelona. This is one of Andoni Zubizarreta’s ideas. Two players could go the other way. One of them is Pedro”.

Where he got this information from is what I still do not know but with my observation of the Spanish press in years past, I have noticed they have a way of luring a player to their country. Even if the club the player is being linked to did not have any plans to make a move for such a star the rumours would make them do so. It is also a way of distracting unsettled players at their current clubs. The case of Alex Song was an example. The news sprung up and the African midfielder could not resist an offer from the Spanish giants.

Ozil only arrived at the Emirates last summer so I do not see him leaving so soon. We do not act that way at Arsenal. The club will pay cash if they want Fabregas, not a player swap involving one of its most influential players.
