Arsenal Defender Happy to Fulfil Childhood Dream.

Arsenal finished the 2013/14 Premier League season on a good note with a victory over Norwich City on Sunday evening. Aaron Ramsey and Carl Jenkinson were responsible for the relegation of their opponents as these two lads scored a goal each.

Jenkinson was so happy with what he tagged the accomplishment of his childhood dream. According to him, he had been an Arsenal fan since he was young and admitted he has been waiting for that day when he will score for Arsenal. He finally did that at Carrow Road last Sunday.

The 22-year old England defender who joined the Gunners in 2011 also revealed he has bagged many of such goals in his back garden and celebrated just the same way he did when he did that in front of the fans.

'It took a while but I got there in the end,' Jenkinson told Arsenal Player after his 57th appearance for the club.

'Since I was a kid I've been an Arsenal fan, I've scored that goal 100 times in my back garden and celebrated like I'm celebrating in front of the fans.

'I've done it for real today and it was the best feeling in the world. I think you could tell by my celebration.

'I'm a defender so I'm not going to score too many goals and hopefully that will kick-start it now and I will get a few more.'

Despite making only 14 appearances this season, Jenkinson still remains an integral part of the Arsenal team. He is one of the club's future stars in the making. With Sagna's future in doubt, the young right-back might be on his way to securing a regular first team spot.

In the early stages of the season Jenko spoke on how joining Arsenal needed no second thought.

'When Arsenal signed me it blew me away. It was all a bit of a blur,' he said to the Independent's Sam Wallance.

'It was my dream. You always want to play for the club you support. It was just a big shock, more I was so happy that Arsenal had come in and wanted to sign me.

'There were other big clubs who were interested. None of them would have meant the same. When I knew Arsenal were interested there was only one place I wanted to go.'
