The Gunners sold the Mexican international to the Spanish side in 2011 with an option to buy him back whenever they wanted to. The buy back clause gives the 2014 FA Cup Champions the opportunity to re-sign him for just €4million. There are speculations out there stating that Arsenal are willing to bring back the 25-year old.

Vela bagged 16 goals and 12 assists in 37 appearances for Sociedad in the 2013/14 La Liga season, helping them finish in seventh position. With such records Arsenal will have nothing to lose if they decide to re-employ him. They can also buy the striker and sell him out immediately, enabling them make some profit on his sale.

Speaking in an interview, Vela hinted on a possible return to the Emirates Stadium. He wants both parties to come together and agree on something that will be of benefit to them.

"We will try and reach an agreement in which we all win, la Real, Arsenal and me," Vela said. "We must see what can be done. We will decide what will be my future, it is all about finding the best way to be happy."

Vela joined Arsenal at the age of 17 but left due to his inability to seal a permanent place in the first team. He is confident he will not have to face the same challenge again if he happens to come back to North-London.

"I did not have as many chances as I wanted and I had to try something new," he said. "If I have to return to London I will do things in a different way. What happened in the past will not be repeated."
