Arsenal Goalkeeper Deal 99% Done, reports Sky Sports.

According to reports from Sky Sports, Arsene Wenger is due to complete the signing of Nice's goalkeeper David Ospina for about £3million.

The Frenchman said after his side's first pre-seaaon game against Boreham Wood that he will definitely bring in a shot stopper who will serve as a backup for Wojciech Szczesny and a replacement for Fabianski who recently joined Swansea City. Even though he refused to mention any names, it is believed that agreement had been struck with the player.

What makes the news quite credible is the fact that the French club's chairman has confirmed the deal will be finally sealed today. They have lost all hopes of keeping him since he bluntly refused to sign a new contract.

David Ospina was on fire for Colombia at the Brazil 2014 World Cup competition. He conceded less than any other South American goalkeeper in the tournament. The 25-year old showed he could occupy the No.1 spot at Arsenal but he will have to work harder since Szczesny himself is doing so great.

With Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy already signed by Wenger for £44million, the arrival of Ospina will make it his third recruitment in less than two weeks.
