Defender Happy With Progress at Arsenal.

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers feels the opportunity given to him to feature in his side's first phase of their Champions League qualifier match against Besiktas on Tuesday night will go a long way in boosting his confidence.

The youngster joined Arsenal from Southampton in July and had since impressed in all the matches he has played, starting from the Emirates Cup to the Gunners' trip to Turkey where they recorded a goaless draw.

Speaking to the official website after the game, Chambers said that he loves the reception he has gotten from everyone at Arsenal and claimed that has helped him in his progress at the club.

"I've been working my way into Arsenal really well," Chambers said. "That's helped my confidence, I've dropped back into centre back and I'm really enjoying it there.

"You learn from playing and training every day with players of this quality. It's fantastic for me and I'm gaining confidence game by game.

"It's with the help from everyone at the club and the players and staff who have welcomed me. That's helped me settle in so quickly.

"It's a fantastic experience for me at a stadium like that and a crowd like that. All the boys put in such a good effort and I think we deserved a 0-0, if not more.

"You've just got to stay switched on the whole time and stay focused for 90 minutes. At anytime they can create chances and score. It's another good experience for me playing against players of such quality."
