Real Madrid Star May be on His Way to Arsenal After Recent Comments.

Arsenal target and German international Sami Khedira has hinted on his possible departure from Real Madrid before transfer deasline day, reports Marca.

The 27-year old star has been strongly rumoured to be unhappy at the club and as such wants to go where he can get regular playtime. This ambition made him reject the new contract offer given to him by the Spanish side.

Sami Khedira to Arsenal

Khedira who resumed training today alongside Argentine international Angel Di Maria spoke to newsmen and during his chat he revealed he is not balanced at the club, saying he has one foot in and the other out.

“At the moment I have a foot out the door. Until 31st August, anything can happen,” he told reporters.

The midfielder who is believed to be on Arsene Wenger's radar is now being speculated as Arsenal's next signing. With Arteta out through injury the Gunners are expected to look for someone who will stand in for him. The manager himself stated that he will bring in a replacement if Arteta's injury is long-term. Subsequent games have shown the North-London club lack a prolific defensive midfielder and Sami might just be the answer to their numerous woes.

With these comments from the 2014 World Cup finalist, Arsenal can get him if they really want to. The fact that Real Madrid would not want to lose a player of his caliber on a free transfer next season is an added advantage for the Gunners and any other club who want to sign Khedira.

Arsenal will now have to battle with Chelsea who are also planning a potential move for this player that served under their incunbent boss Jose Mourinho.
