Let me first of all start by wishing all our loyal readers a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year celebration. May this season bring every good thing life can offer. Guess you are enjoying yourselves out there. Stay blessed!
Arsenal will be visited by Queens Park Rangers for the Boxing Day fixture at the Emirates Stadium on Friday. Are you new to the game and wondering why the players would be working on such a day when others would be on holidays? Well, that is how it has always been in England. The Premier League is one of the few leagues in the world where teams are not given Christmas break. Funny enough, it is during this period that there seems to be a lot of games. Look at this: There will be games tomorrow 26th, another on Sunday 28th, another on January 1 which is New Year Day followed by one on the 4th day of January.
As we remain in anticipation of Friday's game, Arsene Wenger has revealed the latest on the team in the area of injuries.
According to the manager, no player got any problems from the 2-2 draw at Anfield last Sunday. He added that Tomas Rosicky and Yaya Sanogo would be back in the team but expressed doubts over the availability of Hector Bellerin. David Ospina is back as well.
Ramsey, Arteta, Ozil and Koscielny will all miss out of that game. The player who has the chance of making a return before the others is Koscielny, Even though he has been ruled out against QPR, the Frenchman is likely to make the trip to Westham.
Arteta is making good progress in his recovery process. Nevertheless, he is not expected to play any game again in 2014 just like Ozil and Aaron Ramsey.
For Theo Walcott, he is not too far. He will be assessed later in the week to see how ready he is. Matchfitwise, he is not fully prepared.
That is all for now. Keep enjoying the holiday but please do not forget me as you catch your fun. If you are given eight bottles of drinks, keep four for me. If it is 40 pieces of meat you are given, keep 20 for me but please I do not eat the head of animals so do not keep such. Bye!
