Newcastle United Midfielder Says He Will Not Join Arsenal.

Newcastle United who are now without a manager are prepared to reject Arsenal's bid for their French midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

The player's future has sparked intense public attention eversince Alan Pardew revealed his plans of leaving the club last Sunday.

Arsene Wenger in his quest to strengthen his midfield has reportedly set aside a £9million bill for the acquisition of the French international. This may not work out afterall as the Magpies who initially placed a £16millon price tag on him are not set to let him leave in January. To make matters worse, the 25-year-old has said that he is comfortable at Newcastle and is not looking forward to joining another club in the next transfer window.

Amidst news that he might join Arsenal, the player in a chat with The Sun stated: "I said all along I was happy here at Newcastle.

"I will be here and trying to do my best for this club in 2015.

"I have played in different positions and on Sunday against Everton I was asked to play on the right side.

"I have played in the No 10 spot as well.

"The coach considers me an important part of the group.

"I have sometimes been handed the captain's armband and I am very happy with my role here."

Sissoko might eventually make a U-turn and accept any bids from a top club like Arsenal because the one who made him feel so comfortable at the club is now after another challenge elsewhere. Pardew will now take charge at Crystal Palace after resigning from Newcastle United on Monday.

Apart from that, we have seen players make vows never to leave a particular club but at the end of the day, the reverse was what we saw. Who says Sissoko's case cannot be the same? I will not be surprised if I wake up one day in January to hear that the prolific midfielder has penned a deal with another club.
