Does the above picture give an indication that former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba could make a sensational switch to Arsenal come January?
This image is that of Arsenal legend Robert Pires and Pogba who are currently enjoying the Christmas holiday. According to CaughtOffside, the two Frenchmen were captured this morning during a hangout.
As someone who has shown admiration for the Juventus man, Arsene Wenger would be hoping Pires convinces him to sign for the Gunners by the time the transfer window opens.
There are speculations that Juventus are ready to cash in on the 21-year-old as they won't mind giving him out to any team who can pay the sum of £40million. Arsenal are said to be favourites to secure his transfer even though Luis Van Gaal is hoping Pogba will make a return to Old Trafford.
Pogba has stepped up his game since arriving in the Serie A, creating goals and assists. He has become a catalyst in midfield and his ruggedity in the middle of the park will benefit either of Arsenal or Manchester United if he eventually joins any of them.
What I find ridiculous about this news is the price tag of £40million. Well, it is not necessary that is the actual amount a club must pay to get him. Afterall we have seen cases of some teams who placed high amounts on players but later made reductions during negotiations.
