Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has revealed that Tuesday night's 4-1 win was inspired by the determination of the players who wanted to do it for the manager and fans after a frustrating outing at Stoke.
The Welshman scored a brace in that game - his second being the best goal of the night. It was absolutely dynamite.
The team knew it would be a big disappointment if they failed to get the desired result and according to Rambo, they just had to put in maximum efforts.
“It was obviously a disappointing first half [at Stoke], but we did well in the second half and almost got back into it,” he said. “It was important to bounce back from that defeat and we did that.
“Every player here wants to work hard for [the manager], we proved that again on Tuesday night. He has been under some unfair criticism, but we are all out there, we are in it together. We wanted to get the result for us and for him.

After scoring that thunderous goal against Galatasaray, Ramsey said that it was one of his best ever. Now he has gone more specific after viewing the clip over and over again. The Wales international has adjudged it his best goal ever.
“I have seen it back, and it is definitely the best I have scored,” the midfielder said. “As soon as I hit it, I thought it had a chance of going in and thankfully it went into the top corner.
“I like playing in Istanbul - I have scored a few goals here now and I would like to play here every week if I could!”

Ramsey has scored a total of five goals in three appearances against Turkish teams in Istanbul.
