A report reaching us right now states that Arsenal have struck an agreement with Southampton for Morgan Schneiderlin. This was revealed by the Secret Footballer.
Schneiderlin was one of the players heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium and White Hart Lane last summer but Southampton were not willing to part with him at that time. Manchester United also recently tabled a £25million offer but according to a twitter source, Arsene Wenger already has a deal in place to bring the Frenchman to North-London.
The Secret Footballer handle on twitter is a name used by someone trying to hide his real identity. He has revealed such information in the past which later happened so one cannot yet tag this news 'a lie' even though it is still unconfirmed. The account is believed to belong to Reading star Dave Kitson.
The handle tweeted when asked for updates on Arsenal transfers: "@CescHaree My understanding is that they have an agreement already in place with Schneiderlin."
It will be cool if Arsenal could succeed with this transfer. Schneiderlin has Premier League experience and has done outstandinly well in the last two seasons. Gary Neville even tipped him to do well with any EPL club.
"I think he could play at any of the top clubs in the league, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United or Arsenal - he's showed his quality this season," he said.
Another thought that may arise is maybe Southampton will want to sell one of their best players. Hmm!! If you ask me I will say that the more Southampton sell, the better they seem to become. Still wondering how their activities in the last summer transfer never affected them. They are known to have a strong academy so that may just be why they care less about losing their stars to other teams. Right now they are fourth on the league table.
