Arsenal Lost to Saints as Harry *Kaned* Chelsea.

Arsenal began the New Year in a disappointing manner by losing away to Southampton at St.Mary's on Thursday.

They could have reduced the gap on the league table considering the results from the Chelsea and Manchester United games but a number of faults at the back ensured they did not move into the first four spot.

Manchester United managed a 1-1 draw with Stoke while Chelsea were heavily *Kaned* by Tottenham's Harry Kanein an encounter which looked more like a handball game.

Arsene Wenger's boys brought in the morale from their most recent victories into the game which made them begin the match with much dominance. However, the hosts were the ones who laughed last. Goals from Sadio Mane and Dusan Tadic in the first and second halves respectively were enough to give Southampton all three points - a very precious New Year present.

Mane chased down a long ball, racing past Arsenal's shattered defence before chipping over Wojciech Szczesny who had then rushed out to close down the angle. As if that was not enough torture for the North-Londoners already, they still went on to concede another from a silly defensive error. This time, it was poor communication between Szczesny and Debuchy that allowed Tadic unleash a close range shot. 2-0 was the final score at the end of 90 minutes.

A revival against Hull City is what Arsenal will be looking forward to. They will be meeting in the FA Cup this same side who they played in last year's final at Wembley.
