Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has admitted that everybody is fascinated by Alexis Sanchez's classy displays on the pitch.
The former Barcelona forward has helped the Gunners this season by scoring majority of their goals and also creating assists for some other ones. He has so far netted 18 goals in all competitions for Arsenal in the present campaign. The latest were his two goals and one assist in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Stoke City last Sunday.
As Arsenal prepare to face Manchester City on Sunday, Manuel Pellegrini has heaved praise on Alexis, saying that the Chilean star is the best player in the English Premier League at the moment and Wenger couldn't help but agree with that statement.
“It is a great compliment because Pellegrini knows football well, he is a specialist,” the Arsenal manager said.
“I agree with him that at the moment, Alexis is one of the best performing players in the Premier League.
“He is full of energy and full of enthusiasm as well, which is fantastically refreshing when you see the number of games he played. He is always keen to go out and play.
“What everybody admires with him as well is that when he plays. His game is always full of enthusiasm and of a desire to do well, to take people on and to fight to get the ball back. It is infectious and it is fantastic.
“There are some other great players in the Premier League but [Alexis and Sergio Aguero] are two of the [best]. I think in the last year Aguero has suffered from being a bit in and out but of course he is a world-class player.”
One may want to take these compliments from Pellegrini to Sanchez and Wenger to Aguero as mind games but it's just the truth. These two guys have proven they can give in 100% focus in any game they feature in. Sanchez has won various awards since joining Arsenal which goes a long way to show how good he is. On the part of Aguero, he is doing well only that injuries have really obstructed his flow. Let's hope he comes back better. I learnt he will be returning against Arsenal this weekend. Well, no problem. We will do our all to get a good result.
