Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Gabriel Paulista anytime from tonight and as we are still waiting for that, there are reports claiming another deal might follow the Brazillian's. It'a another defender who is being linked.
The TMW website in Italy has revealed that Arsenal who have got impressed by a particular defender are ready to bring him to North-London. He is a 20-year-old centre-back who plays for Empoli, on loan from Juventus. Daniele Rugani is his name.
Rugani started playing for Empoli at the age of six and after twelve years, he joined Juventus on loan. He started playing for the Juventus U-20 side and after recording numerous success he signed a permanent deal with the Italian giant in July 2013. He was then sent back to Empoli [on loan] where he presently plies his trade. The Italian is co-owned by Juve and Empoli.
I do not see Arsenal making a bid for him this winter. There is already competition in his position and the deal will only make sense if Arsenal plan to fix him in the youth team. Maybe they will make their interest official by the time the summer transfer window opens.
