CONFIRMED: Arsenal Star Leaves Club, Sends Greetings to Fans.

As part of the agreement made by Arsenal to sign Gabriel Paulista, Costa Rican forward, Joel Campbell has moved in the opposite direction.

Campbell has joined Villarreal on loan till the end of the season. The 22-year-old has not scored any goal in his ten appearances for Arsenal in this present campaign and would be hoping to return to the club an established player.

Despite having a wonderful outing with the Costa Rican national team at the Brazil 2014 World Cup, Campbell has not been able to prove himself at the Emirates and this is likely because he has featured in just few games. The presence of Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Yaya Sanogo who is now on loan too was an obstacle for the youngster.

After completing his move to Villarreal, Joel Campbell took to Twitter to thank the Arsenal fans for their continual support. He wrote:

"Thanks to the whole family of Arsenal for their messages. I hope to make them proud."

Campbell has spent the last three seasons on loan at Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiakos and is yet to make a Premier League start for Arsenal.
