Gilles Grimandi Backs Arsenal Transfer Policy.

The crossover has finally been completed and we are now in another year. We at Arsenal Newspaper are glad to welcome you to 2015. Make a good start! Wishing you all the best.

Our first post for the year 2015 is centred on Arsenal's largely criticised transfer policy. An Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi has backed the manner in which transfer activities are being carried out at the club. He does not agree with the popular opinion of fans who conclude that Arsene Wenger does not concern himself so much with transfers when it appears that such signings are greatly needed.

The 44-year-old Frenchman who once played for Arsenal and Monaco thinks the club's approach in the transfer market is fair enough.

“Recruitment is judged in the long term. Nobody gets it 100 per cent right. But when you compare the money spent and our performance, I don’t think we do too badly.

“We have suffered in several positions through injuries but we are through to the knockout stages of the Champions League for the 17th time and we have already overcome some very complicated moments.

“That is thanks to stability. Now we have to be very ambitious. And for that reason the knockout tie against Monaco is very important for us.”
