Whenever we go through Arsenal's injury news, negativity is what we see in most cases. We hear of players having one serious problem or the other and staying out for long but this time, it's different. Here is a positive one.
Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere is due to return earlier than planned. He is ahead of schedule and is set for a comeback in the next three weeks.
The English international has been out since he sustained a serious injury against Manchester United in November last year. Paddy McNair's brutal challenge led to the damage of Jack's ankle ligament and it was initially expected that he will not play until March.
Earlier this month, things turned around for the 23-year-old which made Wenger say that he could return at the end of February. Right now, the story has changed again. The rate at which Wilshere is making progress is so amazing. He will return in mid-February as long as he does not suffer any setback.
"If he has no setback instead of being back at the end of February, he could be back in mid-February," Wenger said.
Three weeks from now is around February 15 which is when we will be playing our FA Cup fifth round fixture against Middlesbrough. That will be a good avenue for him to make a sensational comeback.
