Thierry Henry will make his debut as a Sky Sports pundit when Arsenal take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium today and ahead of his TV appearance, a former presenter for this same broadcasting channel has hit out at the Frenchman.
Henry retired from playing football few months ago. After that move, he signed a £24million deal with Sky Sports. The attack from Richard keys is linked with the Arsenal legend's wage demands. According to him, he demanded too much.
Keys who left Sky Sports after a sexism case in 2011 threw an indirect shot a Henry on twitter because of his expensive contract.
“Glenn Hoddle joins us all on BeIN Sports today. Good luck to Thierry Henry. Sorry we couldn’t make it work here but he just wanted too much,” Keys said.
Henry will be with former football professionals, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher. His wages are said to surpass those of Neville and Carragher. Infact he earns almost three times more than Neville every year.
And what's the fuss about? Henry knows what he is worth and I believe he really deserved that bumper package. Is Sky Sports complaining? No! So Richard Keys should keep mute over this.
