Alexis Sanchez May Miss the Start of Next Season.

Alexis Sanchez could miss the start of the 2015/16 season with Arsenal, according to Arsene Wenger.

There is an agreement which will hinder Chile from calling up the forward for the Copa América tournament so early, which means the former Barcelona man will be available for his side's FA Cup final game against Aston Villa later this month. Wenger's only concern right now is that should Chile go so far in the tournament which will begin in June and end in July, he might still be struggling to gain fitness by the time the next campaign begins.

"If they go very far, he will miss the start of the season," said Wenger.

It is not abnormal for the Frenchman to feel worried over the possibility of missing out on his most consistent player at the start of the coming campaign because he has so far proved himself to be a world class player. His record of 18 goals so far in his debut season is enough to convince anyone that it will be a blow to Arsenal if he is not passed fit by August.

The 2015 Copa América will be the 44th edition of the major South American football competition. It will begin on June 11 and end on July 4, 2015. Chile, Sanchez's country will be hosting this one.
