Arsenal Face Wage Issues As They Prepare £35Million For World Class Striker.

Still in the chase for a world-class striker, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has turned his tentacles to Spain. He is trying his luck once again to see if he can succeed this time after last summer's hunt for Karim Benzema failed.

Arsene Wenger is prepared to table a £35illion bid to Real Madrid in order to snap up his fellow countryman, accorrding to The Metro.

Benzema has not relented of late and his 22 goals and 15 assists in 46 games says a lot about his current form. Despite such a nice record, he still isn't like Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale who seem to be getting special treatment at the Santiago Bernabeu, even the fans do not show him adequate love and for this reason, the French international is tired of remaining there.

We all know that the strikers presently in the Arsenal squad are not that consistent which means that someone who can do the job better should be recruited. The boss is not ignorant of this fact and his recent statement gave a clue on his summer priorities, which is to get a defensive-midfielder and a prolific striker.

With Karim Benzema being lined up by the Gunners, they need to fulfill his wage demand which will be around £220 000-a-week. This is something Wenger will find hard to agree to. Granting such will make Benzema the club's highest earner ever and it is sure to cause disunity among senior players in the team.

One can trust Wenger to convince the striker to accept a lesser wage and considering the fact that he is desperate to quit Real Madrid, he may readily give in to the boss' plea.

Do you see Benzema as the solution to Arsenal.s goal-scoring problem? Is he better than Olivier Giroud who we currently have?
