Arsenal Football Club have made their first signing of the summer even when the transfer window has not been officially opened. It will surprise you to know who that person is. I know you are eager to know so read on.
The Gunners shoved competition from fellow league rivals and had been able to get the midfielder as their own. Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur made moves to sign him but were unsuccesful. Manchester City also made a late attempt but failed. Arsenal signed Charlie Patino from Luton Town for a fee of £10 000.
The 11-year old reportedly chose Arsenal because they are closer to his home in St.Albans. Patino is a player who has got skill and has been tipped to do well in North-London. His style of play is similar to that of Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere.
This signing was made as part of Arsenal's move to improve their Hale End Academy in order to compete with other teams in the Barclays Premier League.
