Arsenal Goalkeeper Attacks His Father On Facebook.

Wojciech Szczesny has dissociated himself from his father's view about Arsene Wenger and some of his teammates, labellling his dad's comments as 'idiotic'.

The Arsenal goalkeeper lost his place to David Ospina since he was caught smoking after a disappointing display at Southampton on New Year's Day. He has only been used for cup competitions eversince and might get another chance in Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley.

When that news of his son's smoking spread like wildfire in the media, Szczesny's father, Maciej who is a former Polish goalkeeper, came out to say that the smoking story was being exaggerated and also accused Arsene Wenger of being disloyal to his son. As if that was not enough, he took a swipe at the Arsenal defence, centering his criticism on Per Mertesacker who he called a rhinoceros.

Szczesny did not feel happy when he heard those words come from his dad and ahead of his side's FA Cup final game, the Pole took to his official Facebook page to drop a response.

'Really shouldn't be dealing with this one day before the cup final but my father leaves me no choice,' the Arsenal goalkeeper wrote.

'I have not spoken to him in more than 2 years and just like everybody else I have had enough of his idiotic comments about the football club and the manager I owe so much to!

'Therefore please do not consider his comments as my shared view.

'Thank You for your understanding!'
