Arsenal On the Verge of Making First Summer Transfer.

Arsene Wenger is known for carrying out most of his transfer businesses so late (let's say few days to the end of the transfer window) but this time around he seems to be turning a new leaf as there are claims that he is set to finalize his first signing of the summer.

The player being linked with a move to Arsenal is Palemo striker Paulo Dybala who is a 21-year-old highly rated youngster. According to Palemo president, Maurizio Zamparini, about three clubs are already showing interest in Dybala and he stated that his future will be decided within the next two weeks.

“At least three teams are really interested in him, Zamparini said.

“The apple is ripe and we’re ready to pick it. I think in 10, or a maximum of 15 days we’ll know his future.

“We’ll meet the lad and his agent to complete the deal. Those who understand football realise his potential.”

Arsene Wenger has reportedly made a bid of £29million for the versatile star who can play as a winger, centre-forward and also as a supporting striker. The Gunners will be hoping to seal the deal before the current season comes to an end even though the transfer window has not been flung open. This is to make sure the likes of Chelsea and PSG do not hijack the move.

It's that time of the year when we get many speculations about who Arsenal want to sign. We will get to know the truth about this very soon but before then, my question is: "Will this kid have an immediate impact on our first team?" If 'no', why then should we spend such an amount on him when there are better established players who we can buy with less than that amount? I have not seen him in action yet so I would like to hear your opinions on this. Air your views.

  1. Dybala is someone who can be developed into something like an eden hazard or ribery. He has pace ,flair, can dribble and is cool in front of the goal.Seeing him play I can say that he will one of those who we will regret if we let him go like we do for ronaldo.I think arsenal should go for him and let go of the likes of podolski and campbell.
