Arsenal are still very much active as they look to strengthen their squad to make them serious title contenders from next season. In view of this, the Gunners sent out a scout to spy on two Lyon stars, Alexandre Lacazette and Nabil Fekir last week.
According to the Daily Star, Steve Rowley, an Arsenal scout, was in France during Lyon's game with Bordeaux to watch the pair in a match which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Bordeaux opened scoring but it was one of the Arsenal targets, Fekir who grabbed an equaliser for his side and gave Lyon a point.
Fekir is an attacking midfielder who has scored 12 goals in 27 appearances so far this season and has established himself as a regular in the team. The Frenchman who can also play as a striker is worth £25million.
Lacazette on the other hand is rated at £35million. He is Ligue 1's highest goal scorer with 27 goals to his name. Several clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly showing interest in the 24-year-old French international.
Arsenal will have to cough out a fee in the region of £60million if they are to snap up the duo from the French club.
