Arsenal Table £7Million Bid For Mexican Centre-Defender.

Arsenal Want Hector Moreno

According to the Metro, Arsenal have made a £7million bid for a centre-defender who plays in the La Liga for Espanyol.

The 27-year-old has attracted interest from top Premier League clubs as a result of his admirable performance for Espanyol since recovering from a career-threatening leg injury. He broke his leg at the last World Cup in Brazil and it is worthy to note that he did not show any signs of weakness when he made a return to action.

It has been Arsenal and their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur who had bee watching the defender closely for months but from latest reports from Metro, the Gunners have gone ahead of their neighbours by making an early attempt.

Arsene Wenger signed Gabriel Paulista who is also a centre-back in January but due to the shortage in number in that department, he is striving hard to get at least one more player to partner with the three already present there.

We should have no difficulty getting Hector Moreno if the other parties involved co-operate well with us. He has over 50 appearances for the Mexican national team already so there will be no hardship in securing a UK work permit for him.
