Arsenal To Table Double Bid For Barcelona Stars.

Arsenal are expected to make a bid for two Barcelona players in the coming weeks. Pedro Rodriguez and Martin Montoya are the duo on the Gunners' shortlist.

Pedro has been unable to secure a regular first team spot at the Nou Camp this season and the Spanish international has disclosed he will have talks with club officials to determine his future.

The 27-year-old has just one year left on his current contract, causing Barcelona to make contact with interested clubs in England. They will be hoping to cash in on the attacker this summer.

Arsene Wenger was one of the managers contacted and it looks as if the Gunners are set to make an official bid for the attacker after the FA Cup final.

Also to be included in the deal is Martin Montoya who is unsettled at Barca. The 24-year-old just like Pedro has struggled to get enough playtime which Arsenal will only give to him if some players are sold or loaned out.

Arsenal's interest in Pedro is not something new to us but he will be surplus to requirements at the Emirates if Theo Walcott signs a new contract.

Montoya on the other hand is a right back and I do not see any reason why Arsene Wenger would want to bring him in when he has a bunch of players in that position. Mathieu Debuchy, Carl Jenkinson, Calum Chambers and Hector Bellerin can all play there. Not even all of them are getting adequate playtime at the club so adding another player will mean more bench warming for players in that department.
