Arsene Wenger Indirectly Reveals Interest in England Star.

Raheem Sterling Wants Arsenal

As we edge closer the the genesis of the summer transfer window, Arsene Wenger has made the media go 'BOOOM!' after saying something about Liverpool's Raheem Sterling.

Raheem Sterling has been reported to want a move away from Anfiled. This might be because of their inability to qualify for the Champions League. The youngster even rejected a £100 000-a-week contract which is a sign that he is not quitting because of money issues. He will meet with Brendan Rodgers and the club's chief executive two days from today to discuss his future.

At his pre-match press conference ahead of the Sunderland clash, Arsene Wenger spoke regarding his transfer plans for the summer.

Wenger said: “I did not bid for anybody at the moment. But in the summer we will bid for people, yes.”

The Frenchman was then asked about his reported interest in Raheem Sterling and this was his reply: “I do not like to lie. If I say I will bid and I don’t do it, you will say I lied.”

Can you see what I just detected? The response from the manager is a kind of indirect one. He did not deny his interest in the lad like he had always done in previous times but did not just say 'yes' or 'no' so we all know what's up. Let us see as it all goes. It would be nice to see Sterling play at the Emirates from next season.

Something happened yesterday and it was a clear sign that the England international really wants to quit. He was booed by fans when he stepped out to receive his prize at Liverpool's annual award ceremony.
