BREAKING NEWS: Arsenal Complete Midfielder Signing. - L'Equipe

Yesterday, we made an update here concerning Arsenal's reported capture of a 16-year-old versatile player, Yassin Fortune from Lens.

With another news from L'Equipe, it looks as if Arsenal are not yet through with their raiding of the Lens academy. According to the French newspaper, Arsene Wenger has signed Jeff Reines-Adelaide who is a 17-year-old midfielder.

Arsenal have in the last seven days sealed three deals, that is if all we heard is true. First it was Patino, an 11-year-old from Luton Town, then Fortune and now Reines-Adelaide. Even though these are not signings that will make Arsenal fans jump so high in the air, they are still not bad recruits. They are future resources who will one day become Emirates' big boys.

Lens who are currently faced with serious financial challenges will be happy that such deals are going through at this time. €4million is what the Gunners will pay for the two teenagers and this will go a long way in helping them avoid bankrupty.

Lens were promoted to Ligue 1 last May but have performed so poorly and are now relegated to Ligue 2. They will play in Ligue 2 next season only if they sort out their financial problems. If they do not do that, then they will be immediately dropped to a lower division by the start of next season. Poor Lens!
