GOOD NEWS: Arsenal Forward Wins End of Season Award.

PFA Fans' Player of the Season

Arsenal forward, Alexis Sanchez has finally gotten an end-of-the season honour after losing some to Eden Hazard of Chelsea. He has been adjudged the PFA Fans' Player of the 2014/15 season.

A public poll which was held saw the Chilean international top the contest that was participated in by over 200 000 fans of various Premier League clubs. He defeated Eden Hazard who was recently crowned as the PFA Player and Football Writers' Association Player of the Season. Sergie Aguero of Manchester City was also among the players who appeared on the 10-man nomination list.

The 26-year-old has had an impressive debut season since arriving the Emirates from Barcelona last summer. In the Premier League, Sanchez scored 16 goals and created 8 assists. He scored four in the Champions League and also bagged four in English cup competitions. He now has a total of 24 goals so far this season. Yes, 'so far' because the FA Cup final is still there for him to bang in one or two if he can.

It is good to see that our man got recognised for his hardwork all through the season. Please, note that the PFA Fans' Player of the Season award is different from the PFA Player of the Season award. Sanchez owns the former while Hazard owns the latter. The whole world is still wondering why the Chelsea man won it over Sanchez. Some say it's because he won the league but that should not be the case as far as I am concerned. Did we win the league when Van Persie got that award with us?
