Being desperately in need of a goalkeeper after Wojciech Szczesny fell short of the Emirates glory, Arsenal have made contact with Chelsea to see if they can lay hold on their unsettled Petr Cech. This has been going on for a while now and the player's agent even claimed they are ready to do business with any club who is willing to acquire the services of the Czech international.
Jose Mourinho talked about the possibility of Cech leaving Stamford Bridge this summer but expressed dissatisfaction over that. The Portuguese admitted he wouldn't want his man to join a rival club but revealed he has no sole say in the matter. For this reason, Arsenal are still on track. Forget about whatever Wenger said about not being interested in Cech. Like my Nigerian peeps will say, 'Na today??'
As it usually is with every Arsenal target, other clubs have started showing interest with the most notable being Louis Van Gaal's Manchester United. They may lose David De Gea to Real Madrid this summer as reports claim he had agreed personal terms with them and for this reason, they are already drafting up replacements among which Cech is present.
This now means that the Gunners are not alone in the chase. Even PSG, Liverpool and Besiktas are trying hard to get him.
