Michael Owen Speaks Again: See What he Has to Say About Arsenal.

Football pundit and ex-United star, Micheal Owen has given his predictions on the game between Manchester United and Arsenal which is coming up on Sunday.

The Englishman has given Manchester United the advantage, saying they will win or at least get a draw. He maintained that the Gunners still lack what it takes to compete with the big teams and as such does not see them ending up victorious.

“Man Utd may have ended their run of three defeats with a 2-1 win at Palace but it was far from a convincing victory and, like City, they will be keen to take three points here to give them a chance of avoiding that Champions League qualifier at the start of next season,” wrote Owen.

“But, even though they beat United 2-1 here in the FA Cup, Arsenal’s fragility against the top sides in the league is well known, and that defeat against Swansea must have been a big blow. I’m not too confident about this – Utd clearly aren’t playing well – but I take 2-1 and 1-1.”

Arsenal are no doubt one of the most in-form teams in Europe, judging from a string of recent games before suffering that defeat from the hands of Swansea City on Monday. For this reason, we can not just rule them out as Owen has done. Man United should underrate Arsenal at their own peril. They couldn't have quickly forgotten what happened to them in the FA Cup quarter-final.

Arsene Wenger's boys have won five successive away league games while United on the other hand have only lost once in their last eight league games at Old Trafford. These two will have to battle hard if they are to achieve their aim which is 'to qualify for next season's Champions League tournament without having to be involved in play-offs'.

Back to Owen's predictions, I don't really take such serious anymore. This same guy predicted that Manchester United will win a trophy this season, Arsenal will not finish in top 4 and that Liverpool will win the FA Cup. Hope I am justified for not giving a damn about his predictions.
