Arsenal are working towards clearing out some deadwood from the club and one of them is Joel Campbell who has not been able to prove himself to Arsene Wenger.
After an excellent outing with Costa Rica at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Campbell still could not seal a place in the Gunners team. For this reason, he was loaned out to Villarreal where he did not do much do deserve applause from the Spanish side and Wenger.
According to a Turkish outlet, Milliyet, the forward who will be 23 years of age this month has agreed to go on a permanent transfer to Fenerbahce who are said to be interested in acquiring some young players this summer. Real Sociedad and Galatasaray also want to sign him but may not succeed with that as Fenerbahce are now in pole position to secure the services of Campbell. Fenerbahce's sporting director is believed to have close ties with Wenger.
Arsenal will be hoping to make around £8million from the sale of Campbell. That fund will be used to finance other transfers.
The Costa Rica international joined the Gunners in August 2011 and have had loan spells at Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiakos and Villarreal.
