Arsenal Lining Up Move For Premier League Prospect.

Information reaching us from the website of the Daily Mail has it that Arsene Wenger is in pursuit of Leicester City's Ben Chilwell.

The source revealed that the Arsenal manager has repeatedly sent out scouts to monitor the progress of the teenager as he prepares to swing into action and sign the 18-year-old left-back.

Chilwell plays for the Leicester U21 side and also the England U19 team. He has made series of outstanding performances which have caught the eye of many top clubs in Europe, with Arsenal being the most interested at the moment.

With the level of competition at left-back in Arsenal's first team, it is somehow certain that the young defender will first have to start up with the club's youth side who are currently lacking in defence.

Arsenal are trying to make plans for the future with academy director Andries Jonker insisting they need more of the best youngsters.

The Gunners are also looking at Charlton’s high promising Joe Gomez but they are now considering whether to make an offer for Chilwell.
