Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger is making moves to ensure that he has a number of strikers at his disposal next season. In a bid to make this possible, the Frenchman has flown to Spain to strike a deal with Real Madrid for Karim Benzema.
Rafa Benitez has taken over at the Santiago Bernabeu after the sack of Carlo Ancelotti and it is believed that the former Liverpool manager will be willing to allow Benzema leave because he wants to start deploying Cristiano Ronaldo as a centre-forward.
According to the Daily Star, Wenger has travelled to the Spanish capital to begin negotiations over a potential transfer for Benzema who hails from the same country as Wenger.
Benzema is worth about £50million and Liverpool and Manchester United are also admirers of the striker.
