According to Sky Sports sources, Arsenal's newly captured star, Petr Cech will show up for his medical next week before putting finishing touches to the deal.
Personal terms had already been agreed with Arsenal having prepared £10.9million to make the transfer of the Cech international from Chelsea to the Emirates become a reality but it is only after he has undergone his medical that the deal will be finalized.
If all goes well as widely expected, Cech could make it into the squad that will play against his former side in the Community Shield at the beginning of next season. As current FA Cup champions, Arsenal will play Chelsea who are current league holders. The game will be coming up on August 2, just few days to the kick-off of the 2015/16 Premier League campaign.
Cech has one more year on his contract but was forced to set his sights elsewhere having lost his starting place to Thibaut Courtois last season. He featured in very few games and this became a source of concern for him.
Cech has won many laurels and made an unerasable mark at Chelsea in his eleven-year stay. His addition to the already flaming Arsenal side will see the Gunners move on to greater things.
Jens Lehman joined Arsenal at 33, went a season unbeaten, won 3 trophies & had a UCL final. Cech is also 33 now so who knows what his arrival might result to. Just hoping for the best.
