Arsenal Star Makes Fun of Journalists And Confirms He is Not Leaving.

It has not been so cool for Wojciech Szczesny since losing his place to David Ospina after an awful display which saw Arsenal lose to Southampton on New Year's Day.

The 25-year-old fell off the ranks and became a back up keeper who only had hopes of playing in the FA Cup. Ospina was in goal for a greater part of the season's second half but this seems not to have affected Szczesny's love for the club.

The press hit hard at him on several occasions, especially concerning the smoking incident while some sources even claimed he was unhappy and wanted a transfer from the club.

In a response to all these, the Polish international said he is not planning to leave. He confirmed this on Sunday after the FA Cup victory parade.

Szczesny took to his official Facebook page to thank the fans while also assuring them that he will stay back and fight for his place. At the end of his statement, he indirectly took a dig at the media for spreading false exit news.

“What a day! Thank you for coming and celebrating with us! It's been a long season for me but I promise to work my socks off to make it better next season and make all the Gunners around the world proud again!

“Also a massive Thank You to my teammates and the coaching staff at Arsenal FC for their incredible support during difficult times.

“And a big well done to the media who almost managed to convince people that I could acctually leave my home and the people I love! Well, you’re gonna have to put up with me for many many years.”

Szczesny returned to goal against Aston Villa in Saturday's final at Wembley and had just little work to do since our opponents only managed few shots.
