BREAKING NEWS: Seven Arsenal Players Set to Leave This Summer.

Arsenal yesterday unvelied the names of players who will be leaving the club this summer and in it was the name of Abou Diaby.

Diaby along with six other Arsenal players were omitted from the list of stars that will remain at the club as from next season.

It has not been a good experience for the 29-year-old whose entire Arsenal career has been plagued by injuries. His frequent absence from the team prompted fans to request for his release so long before now but it seems the club were keeping faith in him, hoping that he will one day overcome his woes but right now, they are letting him go. He has sustained over 40 different injuries in his nine years at the club. Pitiful, isn't it?

The French international who joined Arsenal from Auxerre in 2006 has made a total of 124 appearances for the Gunners. He was only able to start one game in the just concluded season which was our Capital One Cup third round clash which we lost against Southampton.

Diaby joined Arsene Wenger's side in 2006 and was the longest serving player in the Arsenal squad.

He was omitted from the retained list submitted to the Premier League along with Japanese winger Ryo Miyachi who spent last season on loan at Dutch Eredivisie side FC Twente.

Also in the list are Jack Jebb, Oluwasemilogo Adesewo Ajayi, Austin Lipman, Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill, Josh Vickers.

Diaby is a good player. He performs outstandingly whenever he is given the opportunity but was just so unfortunate to be a regular at the Arsenal medical centre.

It is still unknown whether Abou will choose to play elsewhere or quit football but anyhow he wants it, we are wishing him all the best. Will really miss his dribbles even though not all worked in our favour.
