It is being reported that Chelsea who Arsenal are currently trying to get a goalkeeper from are keen on getting Lukas Podolski from the Emirates.
The Blues are lining up a shock switch for the German international, according to the Daily Star.
Everton are also said to be interested in signing the want-away Arsenal forward who recently returned from a half-season long loan spell at Serie A side, Inter Milan. He failed to impress, forcing the Italian side to make a U-turn over their thought of giving him a permanent deal.
Close sources to the club revealed Arsene Wenger has told Podolski to look for another club as there is no room to accommodate him any longer. The manager will prefer to save his £90 000-a-week pay for new signings who would be playing regularly. That amount is way too much for someone who contributes in no big measure to the club which is why Le Prof wants him to depart and continue elsewhere.
Chelsea will be hoping to use their present dealing with Arsenal as an avenue to snatch one of their stars. Since Arsenal want Petr Cech from them, they may just demand that a Podolski transfer to Stamford Bridge be included in the deal.
