CONFIRMED: World Cup Winner Says Transfer Has Been Agreed.

As we await the official opening of the summer transfer window, we have learnt of Arsenal's interest in a number of players. Some are close to being completed while some are still miles behind.

Aside wanting to bring in new faces to the club, Arsenal also want to clear out some stars who are surplus to requirement. This is to give room for new arrivals who will be of great influence to the team in their bid for more glory.

Going by recent speculations, Lukas Podolski is one of those players who will be leaving the Emirates Stadium soon with reports in Turkey linking him with a move to Galatasaray.

According to Turkish publication Cumhuriyetm, Podolski himself has confirmed that talks are ongoing and that he is willing to leave Arsenal.

He was quoted as saying: “I have agreed with Galatasaray, I want to leave [Arsenal].”

Arsenal will get £2.1million for the German international who currently earns £100 000-a-week at the club.

Podolski endured a half season-long loan spell at Inter last season at the end of which he claimed that he will like to remain at Arsenal and fight for his place. What is now being circulated by some sources in Turkey contradicts his earlier statement. Well, we cannot be so sure. Maybe he has changed his mind or it might be that the club has asked him to look for a new employer. We shall soon get to know the actual truth. Until then, fingers crossed!
