The more he gets criticisized by the media, the more dangerous he seems to become when on the field of play. It's Jack Wilshere who has once again told the bias English press to keep quiet. He did this by scoring two goals for England against Slovenia today, Sunday.
The Arsenal midfielder's thunderous goals was enough to give Roy Hodgson a settled mind. His first came in the 57th minute while the second arrived in the 73rd minute. The goals were his first and second goals for his country.
Many fans have taken to social media to express their delight over Wilshere's man-of-the-match performance. Even Hector Bellerin, an Arsenal defender took to Twitter to take a swipe at those who have been hating on his teammate. The Spaniard reminded them that Jack has bagged six out of the last seven Man of the Match awards in England games.
"@JackWilshere 6 MOTM’s in last 7 England games, but people will still doubt him", the 20-year-old tweeted.
Wilshere has endured an injury plagued career which has made him miss out in many games. He has shown since his last return that he can always make impacts when he is fit to play. We all saw that when he returned for Arsenal towards the end of last season and have seen or heard it today again. Hopefully, next season will be his year if he does not go on another lengthy injury break.
Good to see our players representing well on the international scene. On Thursday night, it was Alexis Sanchez who created an assist for Vargas in Chile's opening game against Ecuador in the Copa America tournament.
On Saturday, Mesut Ozil provided three assists when Germany trashed Gibraltar 7-0 and today, it's Wilshere that has scored a brace.
