Alexis Sanchez celebrated his side's progress to the semi-finals of the Copa America tournament on Wednesday night by taking a selfie which showed him in a happy mood.
An 81st minute goal from Mauricio Isla of Queens Park Rangers gave Chile a 1-0 triumph over Uruguay who had been reduced to nine men. Although Sanchez has not scored more than once in the ongoing competition, he still feels joyous for having contributed in many other ways to Chile's success.
Chile will now play either Peru or Bolivia to try to qualify for their first ever final in the history of the tournament.
The former Barcelona star was relaxed after the game, taking to Instagram to post the below selfie with the caption: “Happy for our victory and for our team.”
The 26-year-old's debut season in the Premier League was a successful one. He scored 16 goals in 34 league appearances and was voted Arsenal Player of the Season. He won the FA Cup in his first season.
