Arsenal have confirmed that they have tied a defender to a long-term contract which will see him stay at the club for an extended period.
It is Hector Bellerin who has put pen to paper an signed an improved deal after impressing in his debut season in the first team.
The 20-year-old full back featured 28 times for the Gunners in 2014/15, impressing with both his mature defensive work and speedy attacking play. He also showed an eye for goal, netting twice during the campaign.
The youngster joined Arsenal from Barcelona in 2011. He played in the club's youth side before being called upon to feature in the senior team when Matrhieu Debuch sustained a serious injury last term.
Belleerin has played for the Spanish U17, U19 and U21 sides. He will be hoping to retain his place by the time the new season begins even though that will be a tough task with the return of Debuchy.
