Arsenal Star Asked to Leave the Emirates Stadium.

Ex-Poland international, Jan Tomaszewski has hit out at Arsene Wenger, calling him a liar for the manner in which he has handled Wojciech Szczesny's situation.

Szczesny was dropped as the number one goalkeeper after making silly errors that made Arsenal lose to Southampton on New Year's Day and thereafter going into the dressing room shower to take some cigarettes. He has since then been an understudy to David Ospina who joined the Gunners last summer.

According to Tomaszewski, Wenger promised to give the Polish back his place if he impressed him but the Frenchman failed to fulfil his promise which is why he has tagged him 'a liar' and advised Szczesny to leave the Emirates Stadium.

Tomaszewski was quoted telling Polish newspaper Przeglad Sportowy: “In January I spoke to [Poland manager] Adam Nawalka and he said that Arsene Wenger had told him that if Szczesny worked hard in training he would play again soon. It turned out that he didn’t tell the truth.”

Tomaszewski also stated that the arrival of Petr Cech at Arsenal will make it more difficult for Szczesny to play games which will mean he will no longer have a place in the Polish national team. He wants the Pole to join another team where he will be first choice in order to secure his number one spot in Poland

Arsene Wenger will now have to decide what to do with Szczesny and Ospina. I am sure he will not want the former to leave the club so he may just have to loan or sell out Ospina to reduce the competition in the goalkeeping department.
