BREAKING NEWS: Arsenal Welcome New Arrival to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal is a team known to have massive injuries all through the season. It had been so for many years and this makes people ask the question: 'Is it that the medical staff/facilities at the club are sub-standard?' Well, I am not in the position to answer that question.

All I know and can boldly say is that the club is concerned about the welfare of its players just as the fans are which is why we have seen Arsenal recruit a new staff in the person of Barry Solan. He is a sports performance specialist who currently works at Gaelic Football with Mayo GAA but now that he has been employed by the Gunners, he will join up with the club's backroom staff before the new season commences.

Together with Shad Forsythe, he will be working as strength and conditioning coach at the Emirates Stadium. Forsythe was the strength, conditioning and recovery coach for the German national team before Arsenal signed him last summer. He was a member of the national team's medical staff when Germany won the 2014 World Cup trophy.

His first season at Arsenal was so amazing. If you were so observant, you will had noticed Arsene Wenger did not really feel the absence of players as he used to before. At most points last season, many players were available and even those who got injured at some points made quick comebacks with the exception of Abou Diaby [his own case is a different one].

Forsythe's contributions last season made Josh Sippie refer to him as the 'Arsenal Man of the Year'. Forsythe and Solan will turn things around. We are drawing close to that time when recurrent injury setbacks will be a thing of the past. The more fit players we have at our disposal, the greater our chances of winning the Premier League and Champions League.
